Dar Mo’da dates back to the 19th century and is situated in the historic quarter of the Mouassine ancient Medina of Marrakech.
The house is fully air-conditioned for the summer and heated for winter.
Our central courtyard features a swimming pool as a central feature where you can swim whilst looking up at the clear blue Moroccan skies. We also have an automatic rain cover which we use in the rare case of rain, creating a tranquil atmosphere with ambient lighting. Off the courtyard we have the lounge, salon, dining room and our hammam.
A large lounge is available to guests featuring an antique inlaid card table and a quiet alcove to chat or watch satellite television. The salon opposite lends itself to reading or listening to music or dine in the adjoining dining room, both of which feature the warm light and atmosphere of large fire places.
Our panoramic terrace is a special place to soak in the atmosphere of the riad. Dar Mo’da offers an unforgettable 360° view over the ancient city and its rooftops, the nearby cloth-dying quarter, the Koutubia mosque and the surrounding Atlas mountains. This sun deck is ideal to relax in the sun, refresh yourself in the pool or book personal courses in yoga, pilates or thai-chi.
Enjoy our fine breakfasts or a candle-lit dinner under our rooftop gazebo with views over the palace of Dar el Bacha. In the evening, the terrace becomes the ideal venue for a romantic dinner with the backdrop of the lights and sounds of the red city.
Enjoy a relaxing steam or invigorating scrub in the soft light of the riad’s beautiful marble hammam. Or book a relaxing massage with our qualified masseur and appreciate the special qualities of Morocco’s unique Argan oil.
The arabs of the 7th century, and later the Ottoman Turks, perfected the ancient art of the hammam, which to this days is referred to as "the silent doctor" for its health and wellness related properties. The hammam's steam bath helps one eliminate stress, toxins and impurities.
We offer a range of treatments with our famous black soap, exfoliating kessa body scrub and moisturising rassoul clay masks
